As I wolfed down a generous bowl of buffalo chili at the Sunrise Cafe on the outskirts of Cooper Landing, Alaska, a smile of contentment crossed my face. I was thinking of how we had managed to do exactly what we’d set our minds to on this trip to Alaska, despite the unseasonable rainfall.
