More than 600,000 Alaskans reveled in the news that their Alaska Permanent Fund dividend checks once again exceeded $1,000 after two years below the mark. Alaskans plan all year what to do with their dividends. Some buy cars, big-kid toys or catch up on bills.
By Wednesday night, Alaskans will know exactly how much the Permanent Fund dividend check will be. Each year KTUU-TV makes its own prediction based on numbers supplied by the State of Alaska.
Gov. Frank Murkowski is scheduled to announce the amount of Alaska’s yearly Permanent Fund dividend tonight in Anchorage at the annual meeting of the Alaska Permanent Fund Corp.
