John Harris, the Republican representing District 12 in the Alaska House of Representatives, has strong family ties to the Valdez area. Harris’ family has run businesses in the area for four generations, and he estimated he has been working with local Teamsters for 31 years.
Sen. Gene Therriault has served as North Pole’s state senator for the last six years and its representative for eight years before that. Tim Beck would like to end that reign this November.
